How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

This is a senior commercial-strategic role responsible for driving growth in the life sciences and biomechanics markets globally. The Global Market Lead will own the market strategy, act as the voice of the customer internally, shape the product roadmap for this vertical, and work cross-functionally with sales, marketing, product, and engineering to accelerate revenue and market share. The role requires a seasoned leader who can combine deep domain expertise with commercial acumen to build and scale a high performing market function.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Own and execute the global go-to-market strategy for life sciences and biomechanics segment, with full P&L awareness and accountability for revenue targets

    • Lead the integration, ensuring a coherent portfolio strategy, unified brand positioning, and seamless customer experience

    • Build deep understanding of customer needs, workflows, and buying processes across clinical, research, and academic settings

    • Identify and prioritise market opportunities, emerging applications, and partnership prospects

    • Act as the primary voice of the life sciences customer, feeding insights into product roadmap and R&D priorities

    • Work with software development, algorithm and ML scientists to prioritise development projects that achieve product - market fit

    • Collaborate with regional sales teams to support pipeline development, key deal strategy, and customer engagement

    • Develop compelling value propositions, positioning, and messaging tailored to life sciences audiences

    • Leverage AI and right-size the organisation for scalable, profitable growth - identifying where automation, tooling, and operational efficiency can multiply impact without scaling headcount linearly

    • Represent at industry conferences, academic symposia, and key customer events (e.g. ISB, ESMAC, ASB, APTA CSM)

    • Track competitive landscape, market trends, and regulatory developments affecting the sector

    • Define and report on KPIs for market growth, customer acquisition, and product adoption

    • Work closely with the CPO and product team to shape investment cases for new capabilities and adjacent market entry

    Required Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

    • 10+ years of progressive experience in commercial leadership, product marketing, or market development roles within life sciences, biomechanics, medical devices, or adjacent deep-tech sectors

    • Demonstrable track record of building and scaling a market segment or business unit from early traction to sustained, profitable growth

    • Deep domain expertise in biomechanics, gait analysis, rehabilitation, clinical motion analysis, or related disciplines - with credibility to engage senior researchers and clinicians as a peer

    • Experience owning or significantly influencing a product roadmap in a technology-led organisation, translating customer and market insight into prioritised investment decisions

    • Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives spanning research, ML science, product, engineering, sales, and marketing without direct line authority

    • Strong existing network and relationships within the life sciences and biomechanics research and clinical community at an international level

    • Commercial rigour: comfortable with P&L management, pricing strategy, business case development, and board-level reporting

    • Exceptional communication and executive presence; equally effective presenting to a hospital trust procurement board, an academic keynote audience, or a C-suite strategy session

    • Strategic thinker with a bias for action - able to set direction and execute at pace in a mid-size, resource-conscious environment

    • Willingness to travel internationally (estimated 25–35% of time)

    • Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline (e.g. biomedical engineering, kinesiology, physiotherapy, or related); advanced degree (MSc, PhD, MBA) strongly preferred
