How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    A University in London are seeking a Senior Planning and Data Analyst on a permanent basis. The role is hybrid, 2/3 days in the London office.

    The Senior Planning & Data Analyst role is a key post within the team and has specific responsibilities for supporting the team's work relating to monitoring and reporting progress against our Access & Participation Plan (APP) and the delivery of related student management information.

    The role supports the provision of reports and management information relating to the University's performance against its APP and related targets and commitments. The Senior Planning & Data Analyst will provide analytical support and guidance to a number of evaluation projects as well as supporting the assessment of performance and the development of the plan.

    The Senior Planning & Data Analyst will play a key role in:

    Ensuing regulatory compliance through the analysis and reporting of activity against targets in our Access & Participation Plan.
    The analysis of student data including areas related to access, continuation, completion, attainment and awarding gaps and engagement.
    Supporting the consistent delivery of APP related data across the wider student management information (MI) products within the team and across the University.
    The automation of analysis of APP data and embedding of related activity within the broader student management information function.
    The development and production of engaging APP and related student MI dashboards on their Tableau platform.
    Contributing to the wider student management information function through the provision of high-quality information to both Schools and Professional Services directorates.Experience

    A good working knowledge of how Access and Participation plans are used for compliance and reputational purposes, including their use by regulatory bodies such as the OfS.
    Previous experience in data analysis and / or business intelligence.
    Experience of analysing OfS datasets and related metrics.
    Experience of using different technological platforms and systems to manipulate and analyse large, complex datasets.
    Knowledge of designing and creating data visualisations and dashboards using specialist software (e.g. Tableau, PowerBI)
    A track record in communicating key analytical findings to a range of audiences including committees and senior management.
    Knowledge of student records systems reporting
