How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    We are working with a well-regarded Secondary School in Upminster, rated GOOD by Ofsted, that is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Maths Teacher to join its successful Mathematics department. This Upminster school is committed to delivering high-quality education, inspiring a love of learning and ensuring every student is supported to achieve their full academic potential.

    Job Overview:

    This school caters for students aged 11-16.
    Full-time, Monday - Friday, Maths Teacher role.
    Plan and deliver engaging, challenging and differentiated Maths lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
    Inspire students to develop strong numerical, analytical and problem-solving skills while building confidence in Mathematics.
    Assess, monitor and track student progress, providing timely feedback to support achievement and attainment.
    Create a positive, inclusive and stimulating classroom environment where all students are encouraged to succeed.
    Work collaboratively with the Mathematics department and wider school staff to share best practice and contribute to curriculum development.
    Support the wider life of the school through participation in enrichment activities, intervention sessions and school events where appropriate.

    What we're looking for:

    Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
    Strong subject knowledge and a genuine passion for teaching Mathematics.
    Experience teaching Maths across Key Stages 3 and 4 is desirable.
    Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
    A commitment to raising achievement and inspiring students of all abilities.
    The ability to work collaboratively as part of a supportive department and wider school team.
