How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Senior IBM Planning Analytics (TM1) Consultant
    * £600 per day PAYE (Inside IR35)
    * Initial 6-month contract with strong potential to extend
    * Remote working with fully expensed travel to client sites across the UK when required
    The role
    We're supporting a specialist consultancy in the appointment of an experienced Senior IBM Planning Analytics (TM1) Consultant to join their Professional Services team on an initial six-month contract.
    Working remotely, with fully expensed travel to client sites across the UK when required, you'll play a key role in delivering IBM Cognos TM1 / Planning Analytics solutions for a portfolio of enterprise clients.
    You'll partner with finance teams to understand their planning, budgeting and forecasting requirements before designing, developing and implementing robust Planning Analytics solutions that deliver real business value.
    You'll provide consultancy throughout the full project lifecycle, advising clients on best practice, challenging existing processes where appropriate and delivering high-quality solutions that support better planning, reporting and decision making.
    This is a hands-on consulting role where you'll be trusted to build strong stakeholder relationships whilst delivering exceptional technical expertise.
    This role forms part of a significant long-term client programme. Whilst the initial contract is for six months, there is a strong likelihood of extension.
    About you
    You are recognised as an expert in IBM Cognos TM1 / Planning Analytics, with a proven track record of delivering complex enterprise planning solutions within large, global organisations.
    You combine exceptional technical capability with commercial awareness, allowing you to quickly understand business challenges, influence senior finance stakeholders and deliver solutions that add genuine value.
    You are comfortable challenging existing processes, recommending improvements and leading clients through complex Planning Analytics projects from discovery through to successful delivery.
    Whether you've built your career within a specialist consultancy or in-house for a major enterprise business, you are someone clients naturally trust to advise, deliver and solve problems.
    Your experience
    * Extensive commercial experience delivering IBM Cognos TM1 / Planning Analytics solutions within large, complex enterprise organisations.
    * A strong understanding of finance, budgeting, forecasting and reporting processes, with the ability to engage confidently with senior finance stakeholders.
    * Experience leading Planning Analytics projects from initial requirements through to implementation and ongoing optimisation.
    * Consultancy experience would be highly advantageous, although candidates who have successfully delivered enterprise Planning Analytics solutions within large corporate environments are equally encouraged to apply.
    * Ideally ACCA or CIMA qualified (or part qualified), enabling you to confidently engage with finance teams and understand the commercial drivers behind their planning and reporting requirements.
    * Experience administering IBM Cognos TM1 / Planning Analytics environments, with installation and upgrade experience being advantageous.
    * Eligible to obtain Security Clearance (SC) where required for client projects.
