Special Needs Teaching Assistant - Full-Time | September Start | Altrincham
Tradewind Recruitment is delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a welcoming and supportive SEN primary school in Altrincham, seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Needs Teaching Assistant to join their team on a full-time basis from September.
This is a rewarding opportunity to work with pupils with a range of special educational needs, helping them to access learning, develop confidence, and achieve their full potential in a nurturing and inclusive environment.
The Role
As a Special Needs Teaching Assistant, you will:
Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with additional needs.
Work closely with teachers and the wider SEN team to deliver personalised learning programmes.
Support pupils with their social, emotional, and communication development.
Encourage independence while promoting a safe, positive, and engaging learning environment.
Build strong, supportive relationships with pupils, staff, and families.
The Ideal Candidate
The successful applicant will:
Have experience working with children with special educational needs, either in a school or similar setting.
Be patient, caring, and committed to helping every child succeed.
Have excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Be proactive, flexible, and able to adapt to the individual needs of pupils.
Hold a Teaching Assistant qualification or relevant experience (desirable but not essential).
