Due to continued business growth, an expanding portfolio of projects, and a strong pipeline of tender and bid opportunities, we are looking to appoint an experienced Project Planner to strengthen our Planning team. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing business where you will play a key role in supporting both pre-construction and live project delivery across a diverse range of infrastructure and construction projects.
The Role
As a Project Planner, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and monitoring project programmes from tender stage through to project completion. Working closely with operational teams, clients, and stakeholders, you will ensure programmes are robust, achievable, and aligned with contractual requirements.
This role will also involve supporting tender submissions, providing programme analysis, identifying project risks and opportunities, and leading planning activities to help deliver successful project outcomes.
Key Responsibilities

Develop, maintain, and update tender and contract programmes.

Produce detailed project schedules using industry-standard planning software.

Support bid and tender submissions with high-quality planning documentation.

Monitor project progress and identify programme risks, delays, and mitigation strategies.

Provide programme analysis and reporting to project teams and senior management.
*
Ensure compliance with NEC3 and NEC4 contract requirements.
*
Lead and manage planning resources, providing guidance and mentoring where required.
*
Work collaboratively with project teams and clients to support successful project delivery.
About You
We're looking for someone who has:

Proven experience creating tender programmes.

Demonstrable line management experience.
*
Strong working knowledge of NEC3 and NEC4 contracts.
*
Excellent planning, analytical, and organisational skills.
*
Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
*
Experience using Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or similar planning software is desirable.
