Veritas Education is recruiting an experienced and dedicated Nursery Manager to lead a welcoming Early Years setting in Hackney. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate childcare professional to take ownership of the day-to-day running of the nursery while maintaining the highest standards of care, education, and safeguarding.
As Nursery Manager, you will lead and inspire a committed team, ensuring children receive exceptional care and learning experiences in a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment. You will play a key role in supporting staff development, building strong relationships with families, and driving continuous improvement across the setting.
What We're Looking For
Level 6 qualification in Early Years, Childcare, or a related subject (essential)
Previous experience as a Nursery Manager or Deputy Manager within an Early Years setting
Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework, safeguarding, and Ofsted requirements
Proven experience leading, mentoring, and developing staff
Excellent organisational, communication, and leadership skills
A confident, proactive, and approachable management style
A genuine passion for delivering outstanding Early Years education and careYour Responsibilities
Lead and manage the day-to-day operation of the nursery, ensuring it runs smoothly and efficiently
Ensure the highest standards of care, education, safeguarding, and compliance are maintained
Lead, motivate, and support the nursery team through coaching, mentoring, and performance management
Oversee curriculum planning and deliver an engaging, child-centred learning environment in line with the EYFS
Build and maintain positive relationships with parents, carers, and external professionals
Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with Ofsted and statutory requirements
Manage occupancy, enrolments, staffing, budgets, and resources effectively
Promote a positive, inclusive, and stimulating environment where children can thrive
