How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

Cardfactory - Insight Manager - Wakefield - £(phone number removed)

At cardfactory, we love helping customers celebrate life's big (and little!) moments, without spending a fortune. By keeping customers at the heart of everything we do, we truly understand what matters to them-which is why we're looking for a brilliant Insight Manager.

With the right insight, we spot trends, risks and opportunities early. Our Insight Manager will lead customer and market insight end-to-end, turning data into clear direction and impact. By shaping how we understand our customers, categories and market, you'll drive smarter decisions every step of the way!

Please note this is a hybrid role with 2 days per week in our Wakefield.

    What you'll do

You'll tackle the business's biggest questions, bringing together data from across sources to uncover what's happening, why it matters and what to do next. You'll turn both quick requests and emerging trends into clear, actionable insight that helps attract, grow and retain customers, while always looking for smarter ways to improve our data, tools and approach. From managing research partners to keeping dashboards sharp and useful, you'll make sure insight is easy to understand, hard to ignore and embedded across the business-keeping the customer front and centre in every decision.

    What you'll bring
Highly experienced Insight manager with good business acumen, a passion for analysis and ideally, a grounding in Omni-channel Retail
Good analytical skillset with significant experience exploiting and triangulating data across numerous sources
Expert understanding of research initiatives, insights tools and proven Consumer Research methods.
A proven ability to generate Insight and actions that drive customer and business benefit
Strong consulting skills to partner effectively with multiple agencies and stakeholders
