How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Sustainability Lead

    Somerset

    £55,000 - £65,000 + Travel Allowance + Bonus + Pension + Private Medical + Holidays + Package + Immediate Start

    This is an opportunity to join a leading international general contractor delivering one of the UK's largest and most technically complex advanced manufacturing projects.

    Working on a landmark project in Somerset, you will play a key role in driving sustainability initiatives across the full construction lifecycle, ensuring ambitious environmental targets are achieved whilst embedding sustainable practices throughout project delivery.

    This business has an impressive pipeline of major projects across the UK and Europe, creating genuine opportunities to progress into senior sustainability leadership positions on future flagship developments.

    As Sustainability Lead, you will work closely with project leadership, operational teams, clients, consultants and the supply chain to ensure sustainability is integrated into every stage of project delivery, supporting environmental compliance, carbon reduction and responsible construction practices.

    Your Role as Sustainability Lead Will Include:

    Leading the sustainability strategy across a major construction project.
    Driving environmental and sustainability initiatives throughout project delivery.
    Monitoring sustainability performance and reporting against project objectives.
    Supporting carbon reduction, waste minimisation and resource efficiency programmes.
    Working closely with project teams to improve environmental performance on site.
    Collaborating with subcontractors and supply chain partners to ensure sustainability objectives are achieved.
    As Sustainability Lead You Will Have:

    Experience within sustainability, environmental management or ESG on major construction, infrastructure or industrial projects.
    Strong understanding of sustainable construction principles and environmental legislation.
    Experience monitoring and reporting sustainability performance and environmental KPIs.
    Full UK Driving Licence.
