How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

Charity Manager / Head of Operations
Neurodiversity charity | Surrey (Hybrid working) | part time / full time considered (3-5 days a week)
40-50k per annum full time salary, maybe a tad higher for the perfect candidate!
We're working exclusively with a relatively new, high-potential charity with a clear mission: to enhance quality of life for neurodivergent adults through person-centred support and by celebrating difference. Their model centres on a personal wellbeing mapping process — understanding what truly matters to each individual across physical health, mental wellbeing, social inclusion, independence and personal goals — leading to a bespoke, tailored support plan, an inclusive online community, and pathways to work and social opportunities.
Backed by a successful entrepreneur, with additional tech and finance support from the founder's other businesses, the charity is now building its core team from the ground up to scale its impact — a genuine opportunity to shape a growing organisation from its earliest days.
    The role
Reporting directly to the founder, you'll be the first feet on the ground, turning the charity's model into consistent, high-quality delivery for its members.
    You'll:
    * Run operations and continuously improve the person-centred support model
    * Identify and onboard specialist providers and resources
    * Recruit and collaborate with a Care & Support Manager to design flexible care pathways
    * Ensure support plans are fully funded and delivered within budget, with clear monitoring and reporting on service quality
    * Drive fundraising and income generation (ESG, corporate partners, grants)
    * Build third-sector partnerships and promote the charity to volunteers
    * Oversee comms and social media, alongside financial oversight of service delivery
    You:
    * Essential: experience supporting neurodivergent individuals
    * Preferred: charity/third-sector background
    * Strong operational, fundraising and partnership skills
    * Organised, proactive and comfortable in a start-up environment
    * Tech-savvy; social media and basic finance skills a plus
    * Based in Woking with hybrid working and flexible hours (3–5 days)
Real scope to shape the role — and the charity — as it grows
