How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Section Engineer - Civils / Infrastructure / Pipejacking - West Ruislip
    £475-£525 per day (Freelance/Umbrella PAYE)

    TRIbuild Solutions is seeking an experienced Section Engineer to join our client's team on site in West Ruislip, working 5 days per week.

    Main Responsibilities:

    Undertake duties as directed by the Agent and Sub-Agent
    Day-to-day work site coordination and planning to ensure works are carried out safely and efficiently
    Work with subcontractors to ensure timely preparation and review of RAMS, ITP's, Permits and Consents, and that these are implemented on site
    Ensure Permit to Dig, Temporary Works and other safety systems are implemented, liaising with the Site Foreman to maintain safe methods of work
    Ensure temporary works needs are identified early and completed in accordance with relevant procedures
    Ensure all quality checks are carried out in line with ITP's and properly recorded
    Manage non-conformance reporting and oversee non-conformances on site through to completion
    Carry out setting out, land surveying, and manage diaries and programmes
    Oversee earthworks and deep drainage works
    Pipe Jacking experience is essential - please do not apply unless this is clearly demonstrated on your CVHealth, Safety & Environment:

    Ensure health and safety is given the highest priority throughout the works
    Demonstrate commitment to the Health & Safety and Environmental Policies
    Ensure policies and procedures are effectively communicated to the workforce and implemented
    Work collaboratively with the HS2 team, contractors, and subcontractors to achieve overall project goalsThe Ideal Candidate:

    Degree (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering or a related discipline, or HNC in Civil Engineering with vocational training
    Sound understanding of engineering principles and construction techniques/best practices
    Competent in MS Word, Excel, and document control systems
    Relevant CSCS Card; SMSTS and HS2 experience desirable
    Training in Health & Safety and Environmental management
    Presentation skills, with the ability to deliver inductions and briefingsTo apply, please submit your CV ensuring your Pipe Jacking experience is clearly outlined
