How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Project Manager (Software Delivery)

    Location: Crewe (Hybrid, typically 2 days per week on-site)
    Rate: Up to £550 per day (UMB/Ltd)
    Contract: Until 18th December 2026 with potential extension
    Start: ASAP

    Adecco are recruiting for an experienced Project Manager to join a leading automotive organisation, supporting the delivery of critical IT and compliance-focused transformation initiatives.

    This is an excellent opportunity to work on high-profile software delivery projects supporting the evolution of electric vehicle and compliance-related systems within a complex global business environment.

    The Role

    As Project Manager, you will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of software and IT projects, ensuring successful execution against scope, timescales, budget, and quality objectives. You will work closely with business stakeholders, functional leaders, IT teams, and senior leadership to drive project outcomes in a highly regulated environment.

    Projects are focused on compliance and digital initiatives, including systems supporting EV and battery-related technologies, requiring strong governance, stakeholder engagement, and delivery management expertise.

    Key Responsibilities

    Manage the full project lifecycle from initiation through to implementation and handover.
    Lead software delivery projects within enterprise IT environments.
    Develop and maintain project plans, RAID logs, governance documentation and reporting.
    Manage risks, issues, dependencies, budgets and project timelines.
    Facilitate stakeholder engagement across business functions, IT teams and senior leadership.
    Ensure projects adhere to agreed governance and delivery frameworks.
    Coordinate cross-functional teams to achieve successful project outcomes.

    Essential Skills & Experience

    Demonstrable experience delivering software or IT projects from inception to completion.
    Strong Project Management background within complex corporate environments.
    Experience managing multiple concurrent projects and stakeholders.
    Strong understanding of project governance and delivery life-cycles.
    Proven ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders.
    PRINCE2 certified or equivalent Project Management qualification.

    Desirable Experience

    Automotive or manufacturing sector experience.
    SAP knowledge.
    Experience delivering compliance, regulatory, digital transformation or enterprise software projects.
    Understanding of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies.
