How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Review and approve QA documentation, inspection records and as-built surveys
Coordinate engineering activities with site management, subcontractors and the wider project team
Identify engineering risks and resolve technical issues, raising and managing RFIs where required
Monitor site activities to ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental and quality standards
Carry out inspections and ensure works meet contractual and client requirements
Produce engineering reports and provide regular progress updates to senior management
Drive continuous improvement and contribute to the successful delivery of the Heathrow H7 Framework

    Requirements

Previous experience as a Senior Site Engineer or an experienced Site Engineer ready to step up within civil engineering or major infrastructure projects
Strong background working on highways, aviation, motorways or heavy civil engineering projects
Excellent setting out, surveying and engineering management experience
Strong understanding of engineering drawings, specifications and construction methodologies
Experience managing QA documentation, inspection records, RFIs and as-built surveys
Experience supervising or mentoring engineers on site
Excellent communication, leadership and problem-solving skills
Ability to coordinate multiple work packages within a live operational environment

Competitive salary of up to £75,000, depending on experience
Opportunity to work on the prestigious Heathrow Airport H7 Framework
Join a leading Tier 1 contractor with an excellent reputation across the UK
Privately owned business with a genuine family culture
Carefully selected projects with no legacy issues
Strong leadership, visible management and a supportive culture
Excellent training, mentoring and structured career development
Clear progression opportunities with regular performance and career development reviews
Work alongside experienced project leaders on one of the UK's most significant aviation infrastructure programmes
