How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    * Monitor productivity, quality, and performance through regular site visits and inspections.
    * Review completed works, ensuring accurate coding, variations, and supporting information.
    * Liaise with planners, administrators, clients, and operational teams to maintain effective workflow.
    * Ensure compliance with company policies, health & safety requirements, quality standards, and regulatory obligations.
    * Conduct toolbox talks, site inspections, and support the implementation of RAMS.
    * Assist with resource planning and coordination of reactive works, including out-of-hours requirements where required.
    * Maintain strong relationships with residents, clients, operatives, and supply chain partners.
    * Support the development of apprentices and junior team members.
    * Promote a culture of safety, quality, accountability, and continuous improvement.
    About You
The successful candidate will have previous experience supervising repairs or maintenance works within a property services, housing, or construction environment.
    You will ideally have:
    * Proven experience as a Repairs Supervisor, Maintenance Supervisor, or Senior Operative.
    * Strong knowledge of responsive repairs and housing maintenance activities.
    * Experience managing trade teams and monitoring performance.
    * Good understanding of Schedule of Rates (SOR) codes and maintenance coding processes.
    * Broad technical knowledge across multiple trades.
    * Understanding of health & safety procedures, RAMS, and compliance requirements.
    * Excellent communication and organisational skills.
    * Ability to build positive relationships with clients, residents, and colleagues.
    * Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office and mobile workforce management systems.
    * CSCS card with SSSTS, SMSTS, IOSH Managing Safely, or equivalent supervisory qualification preferred.
    * Full UK driving licence.
