How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

This is a company that genuinely invests in its people. With a dedicated in-house training academy, nationally recognised qualifications and clear progression routes, you'll be joining an employer committed to developing engineers into technical specialists and future leaders. If you're looking for a Project Engineer role where every project is different and your career can continually develop, this is an excellent opportunity.

    Job Description:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Project Engineer to join an established engineering team delivering complex engineering solutions for major projects across the UK. Working alongside experienced engineers, you'll develop engineering method statements, calculations, drawings, risk assessments and technical documentation to support the safe delivery of specialist lifting and transport operations.

As a Project Engineer, you'll work closely with project managers, operational teams and customers to develop practical engineering solutions, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest technical standards. Responsibilities include preparing engineering documentation, supporting project execution, advising operational teams, reviewing technical documentation and maintaining engineering records throughout the project lifecycle.

This role would particularly suit a Project Engineer with around two years' post-graduate experience who is looking to take the next step in their career. Experience from heavy engineering, structural, civil, mechanical, construction, offshore or similar project-based environments would all be considered.

You'll benefit from structured mentoring, continuous professional development and exposure to technically challenging projects that will accelerate your engineering career. As a Project Engineer, you'll gain experience working on high-profile projects while building specialist technical expertise within a supportive and collaborative team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Project Engineer seeking long-term career progression within a business that values technical excellence, invests heavily in training and offers genuine opportunities to develop into senior engineering positions.

    Skills & Experience:

    * Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.

    * Comfortable preparing calculations, method statements and engineering reports.

    * Willingness to travel throughout the UK on a regular basis.

    * Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to project delivery
