How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Quality Technician | Cambridge | Up to £41,000

    Are you passionate about quality, precision and continuous improvement? Do you enjoy working in a hands-on manufacturing environment where your attention to detail makes a real impact?

    We're working with an innovative engineering and manufacturing company that develops high-performance products for global technology markets. They are looking for a Quality Technician to join their Operations Quality team, supporting the manufacture of world-class products within a Lean manufacturing environment.

    What you'll be doing

    +Carrying out the assembly, inspection and testing of precision components and sub-assemblies.
    +Performing incoming inspection and quality checks on electronic and mechanical components.
    +Supporting engineering with prototype builds, new product introduction and process development.
    +Analysing inspection and test data to support quality investigations and non-conformance activities.
    +Assisting with root cause investigations and determining suitable pass, rework or rejection actions.

    What we're looking for

    +Experience in a manufacturing, production, quality or engineering environment.
    +Strong practical skills with excellent attention to detail.
    +Experience inspecting mechanical and/or electronic components.
    +Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and manufacturing documentation.
    +Experience using precision measuring equipment such as callipers, micrometers or gauges.
