How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    As a Compliance Officer in Stockport within the not-for-profit sector, you'll play a key role in ensuring compliance across property-related operations. Your attention to detail and organisational skills will help keep processes running smoothly and in line with regulatory requirements.

    Description

    Deliver and support asbestos removal and legionella management programmes across the housing portfolio.
    Conduct site inspections, audits, and compliance checks to ensure adherence to health and safety legislation.
    Review and approve asbestos survey reports and legionella risk assessments, ensuring regulatory compliance.
    Manage remedial works and monitor completion of follow-up actions to maintain compliance standards.
    Oversee contractor performance, ensuring work is delivered safely, effectively, and to agreed standards.
    Liaise with customers, contractors, and internal stakeholders to coordinate access and compliance-related activities.
    Produce compliance and performance reports while acting as a key point of contact for asbestos and legionella matters.Profile

    A successful Compliance Officer should have:
    A recognised asbestos qualification (BOHS P402/P405 or equivalent), or be actively working towards achieving it.
    A legionella qualification such as City & Guilds, BOHS P901, or an equivalent industry-recognised certification.
    Practical experience working with asbestos and legionella contractors, including monitoring compliance and quality of work.
    A strong understanding of health and safety legislation, compliance requirements, and risk management practices.
