How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Lead Business Analyst - Hybrid /Manchester – Permanent £56.5k/£61.5k+ benefits 

    Are you an experienced Senior or Lead Business Analyst?

    We're looking for a Lead Business Analyst to drive the delivery of business-critical technology solutions while coaching, knowledge sharing and mentoring other Business Analysts and juniors to champion best practice across the organisation.

    You'll work closely with business stakeholders, product teams and technical specialists to turn a diverse project stream of complex business needs into clear, deliverable requirements that support the development of scalable, high-quality software solutions.

    The role: 

    Lead business analysis activities across a diverse range of multiple large and medium projects.
    Gather, analyse and document complex business requirements.
    Create user stories, process maps, specifications and solution documentation.
    Facilitate workshops with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
    Support backlog management, estimation, UAT and solution delivery.
    Coach, guide and mentor other BA’s
    Help drive Continuous Improvement to assist this maturing Business Analysis environment
    Be comfortable working on multi work streams at once – plate spinning! 
    To apply you should have the following skills and experience: 

    Have significant, core experience as a Business Analyst, and 2+ years experience of working as a senior or lead BA in a similar Enterprise environment.
    Be happy working in both a highly process driven environment one moment and then in the ‘Wild West’ the next (area dependant)
    Proven experience of coaching and mentoring other Business Analysts, helping develop capability across the team.
    Ability to really drive continuous improvement in business analysis standards and ways of working – this is a maturing BA environment.
    Strong knowledge of Agile and/or other SDLC methodologies.
    Experience of owning: requirements gathering, process modelling and user story creation.
    Excellent stakeholder management and workshop facilitation skills.
    Experience supporting testing and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
    Familiarity with tools such as Azure DevOps or Jira.
    Strong analytical, documentation and problem-solving skills.
    Interview Process: 2 stage interview - 1st Teams / 2nd F2F in Manchester.
    Earliest Start: 1st September 2026
