How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    THE ROLE
    As an Experienced Vehicle Damage Assessor / Estimator, you will be responsible for accurately inspecting accident-damaged vehicles, preparing detailed repair estimates, and managing the repair process from initial assessment through to completion.
    You will work closely with customers, insurance companies, engineers, and the workshop team to ensure every repair is completed efficiently, professionally, and in accordance with manufacturer repair methods and industry standards.

    Key Responsibilities:
    ·Inspect and assess accident-damaged vehicles, identifying all repair requirements
    ·Prepare accurate repair estimates using recognised estimating software and manufacturer repair methods
    ·Liaise with customers, insurers, engineers, and third-party providers throughout the repair process
    ·Work closely with Workshop Controllers, Panel Technicians, MET Technicians, and Paint Technicians to ensure repair methods are accurate and achievable
    ·Monitor repair progress and provide regular updates to customers and insurance partners
    ·Identify supplementary damage and prepare additional estimates where required
    ·Ensure all repairs comply with manufacturer specifications, BS10125 standards, and insurance requirements
    ·Deliver outstanding customer service while maintaining accurate documentation and repair records

    ABOUT YOU
    We're looking for an experienced, organised, and customer-focused Vehicle Damage Assessor who can accurately estimate repairs while delivering an exceptional customer experience.

    ·Previous experience as a Vehicle Damage Assessor or Estimator within an automotive accident repair centre
    ·Strong knowledge of modern vehicle construction, repair methods, and manufacturer standards
    ·Experience using industry-recognised estimating software such as Audatex, GT Motive, or Autoflow (advantageous)
    ·Excellent understanding of insurance repair procedures and accident repair processes
    ·Strong communication and customer service skills
    ·Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple repairs simultaneously
    ·High level of attention to detail and commercial awareness
    ·Positive, professional approach with excellent problem-solving abilities
    ·Ideally IMI and/or ATA qualified (advantageous but not essential)
    ·Full UK Driving Licence required
