How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Hours: 37.5 hours per week

    About the role:

    We are seeking a proactive and commercially minded technical sales professional to join a dynamic and customer-focused team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys building strong customer relationships, understanding complex technical requirements, and delivering tailored solutions that add real value.

    In this role, you will act as a trusted advisor to customers, handling enquiries, providing technical guidance, and recommending products that meet their specific application needs. Working closely with suppliers, production teams, and internal sales colleagues, you will play a key role in developing accurate quotations, interpreting technical drawings and specifications, and supporting projects from enquiry through to successful completion.

    What we’re looking for in our Technical Sales Engineer:

    •    A confident and professional communicator with the ability to build rapport and deliver exceptional customer service over the phone and through written communication.

    •    Technically minded, with the ability to interpret engineering drawings and understand complex product applications and specifications.

    •    Highly organised and detail-oriented, ensuring accuracy across quotations, technical documentation, and customer requirements.

    •    A collaborative team player who thrives in a supportive environment and contributes positively to shared business objectives.

    •    Experience within the linear motion or power transmission industry would be advantageous; however, candidates with a strong technical aptitude and willingness to learn are equally encouraged to apply.
