How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Project Manager (HV Power – NEC)

    Location: Stratford, London
    Rate: £450-£480 per day (Umbrella)
    Contract: Long-term Contract
    Working Pattern: Hybrid (3 Days Office / Up to 2 Days Home Working)

    Deliver Critical Infrastructure for London’s Transport Network

    CETO Talent is recruiting on behalf of a major transport infrastructure organisation for an experienced Project Manager to support the delivery of a significant HV Power upgrade programme.

    This role will be responsible for managing the successful delivery of a major NEC contract, supporting substation and cabling upgrades that will provide the additional power capacity required for a new fleet of rolling stock.

    This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced NEC Project Manager to work on a high-profile infrastructure programme within one of the UK’s most complex rail environments.

    The Role

    As Project Manager, you’ll act as the named NEC Project Manager on a major Tier 1 NEC Option C contract, working closely with the Principal Contractor and internal engineering, commercial and project controls teams.

    You’ll oversee the delivery of both substation upgrades and HV cable installation works, ensuring the project is delivered safely, on programme and within budget while maintaining effective stakeholder relationships throughout the project lifecycle.

    This is a fast-paced, delivery-focused role requiring excellent leadership, commercial awareness and contract management experience.

    Key Responsibilities

    Manage the day-to-day delivery of a major NEC contract across multiple work packages.

    Act as the named NEC Project Manager, administering the contract in accordance with NEC3 or NEC4 principles.

    Manage contractor performance, programme delivery, commercial issues, risks and change control.

    Monitor project costs, progress and programme performance.

    Lead regular meetings with contractors, project teams and senior stakeholders.

    Support engineering, commercial and planning teams to ensure successful project delivery.

    Manage project risks, issues and mitigation plans.

    Provide accurate reporting to senior leadership.

    Ensure compliance with CDM Regulations 2015 and organisational governance requirements.

    Build collaborative working relationships with contractors and internal stakeholders.

    About You

    We’re looking for an experienced Project Manager with a proven track record delivering complex HV Power or major infrastructure projects under NEC contracts.

    You’ll be commercially aware, organised and confident managing large multidisciplinary delivery teams while working within highly regulated infrastructure environments.

    Essential Experience

    knowledge in delivering major infrastructure projects as the named NEC Project Manager.

    Extensive experience administering NEC Option C contracts.

    NEC3 or NEC4 Project Manager Accreditation.

    Formal Project Management qualification such as APM, PRINCE2 or equivalent.

    Strong knowledge of CDM Regulations 2015.

    Experience managing Tier 1 contractors on high-value multidisciplinary projects.

    Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

    Experience managing programme, cost, risk and change.

    Working knowledge of Asite.

    Desirable Experience

    Experience delivering HV Power infrastructure projects.

    Previous experience within the London Underground environment.

    Knowledge of engineering assurance and power energisation governance processes.

    Chartered Engineer status or working towards professional registration.
