How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Location: Ellesmere Port
    Salary: Basic Salary: £45,000 - £50,000 DOE | OTE: £55,000

    The Role
    As a Vehicle Damage Assessor, you'll play a key role in ensuring repair work is accurately assessed and efficiently managed from estimate through to completion. You'll work closely with technicians, insurers and customers to deliver an outstanding repair process while maintaining the highest quality standards.

    Key responsibilities include:
    ·Accurately assessing vehicle damage and preparing detailed repair estimates.
    ·Liaising with customers, insurance companies and third-party engineers throughout the repair process.
    ·Identifying repair methods, replacement parts and labour requirements.
    ·Monitoring repairs to ensure work is completed in line with estimates and manufacturer standards.
    ·Working closely with the workshop team to ensure repairs are completed efficiently.
    ·Managing repair costs while maintaining quality and customer satisfaction.
    ·Ensuring all documentation is completed accurately and in line with industry requirements.
    ·Delivering excellent customer service from vehicle inspection through to repair completion.

    About You
    We're looking for an experienced professional who has previously worked within a busy Bodyshop or accident repair centre.

    You'll ideally have:
    ·Previous experience as a Vehicle Damage Assessor / Estimator / Bodyshop Estimator.
    ·ATA accreditation (advantageous but not essential).
    ·Strong knowledge of modern vehicle repair methods and estimating systems.
    ·Excellent communication and customer service skills.
    ·The ability to prioritise workload and work effectively within a fast-paced environment.
    ·A keen eye for detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality standards.
    ·A full UK driving licence.
    ·Previous experience within a Bodyshop or accident repair centre.
