Air Export Operator - Time Critical

Location: London Heathrow
Salary: Up to £38,000 (DOE)
Monday - Friday

Air Export Operator required for a global freight forwarding business based in the Heathrow area.

Are you an experienced Air Export professional with a background in handling time-critical shipments? This is an excellent opportunity to join a respected international logistics provider offering a collaborative environment, modern systems and long-term career progression.

Due to continued growth, they are looking to strengthen their Heathrow operation with an experienced Air Export Operator who can manage urgent shipments with accuracy, speed and excellent customer service.

The Role

You will be responsible for managing end-to-end Air Export shipments, with a key focus on urgent and time-sensitive movements. You will ensure shipments are handled efficiently, deadlines are met and customers receive regular updates throughout the process.

Key Responsibilities

Manage end-to-end Air Export shipments, including time-critical movements.
Arrange airline bookings and monitor shipment progress.
Liaise with airlines, customers, overseas offices and hauliers.
Prepare export documentation including MAWBs, HAWBs and customs paperwork.
Ensure compliance with all export requirements.
Resolve operational issues quickly and effectively.
Maintain accurate shipment records, costing and invoicing.

Requirements

Previous Air Export Freight Forwarding experience is essential.
Experience handling time-critical or urgent shipments is highly desirable.
Strong knowledge of air freight procedures and export documentation.
Excellent communication and organisational skills.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
