How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Salary circa £55,500 | Bonus | Flexible Working Hours | Midday Finish Friday's | Company Pension

    A Manufacturing Engineer opportunity has arisen within a well-established precision manufacturing business supplying complex components into highly regulated engineering sectors. Working across new and existing production programmes, you'll develop manufacturing processes, support New Product Introduction (NPI), improve production efficiency, and provide technical support across manufacturing operations.

    Manufacturing Engineer responsibilities include -

    Developing and optimising manufacturing processes for fabricated and machined components.
    Supporting New Product Introduction (NPI) projects from quotation through to production.
    Creating and maintaining BOMs, routings, works orders and standard operating procedures.
    Supporting the design and manufacture of tooling, fixtures, and production methods.
    Working closely with Engineering, Quality and Production teams to improve manufacturability, quality, and cost.
    Providing technical support while driving continuous improvement across manufacturing operations.Manufacturing Engineer desirable skills and experience -

    Previous Manufacturing Engineer, Production Engineer, or Process Engineer experience.
    Experience supporting New Product Introduction (NPI) and manufacturing process development.
    Knowledge of fabricated and machined components within a precision engineering environment.
    Experience creating BOMs, routings, work instructions and manufacturing documentation.
    A proactive approach to problem solving with strong communication and continuous improvement skills.Manufacturing Engineer benefits include -
