Search Consultancy is recruiting experienced Plasterers for ongoing sites across Newcastle upon Tyne. Whether delivering smooth internal skimming across new-build residential plots or applying multi-finish plaster and patch repairs on high-profile commercial refurbishments, we are seeking tradespeople who take pride in delivering flawless, paint-ready finishes.

If you hold a valid CSCS card, have a full set of professional plastering tools, and want consistent weekly work with an industry-leading main contractor, we want to hear from you.

Your Role & Responsibilities

Working as part of a busy internal finishes gang, you will be responsible for high-quality plaster application across various wall, ceiling, and board substrates:

Two-Coat & Skim Application: Applying PVA/bonding coats, plasterboard tacking preparation, and applying multi-finish skimming to walls and ceilings for a crisp, flat, paint-ready finish.

Drylining & Boarding: Assisting with plasterboard installation, dot-and-dab drywalling, and preparing joints and beads ahead of wet plastering where required.

Patching & Rendering: Executing seamless patch repairs, chasing repairs, and internal/external rendering work to bring older substrates up to standard.

Beading & Trimming: Fitting angle beads, stop beads, and expansion joints accurately to create sharp external arrises and clean reveals.

Site Care & Efficiency: Maintaining efficient material mixing, managing set times, keeping work areas tidy, and protecting adjacent surfaces from splashes.

What We're Looking For

To satisfy site entry rules and safety compliance standards, applicants must possess:

CSCS Card: A valid Blue (Skilled Worker) or Gold (Advanced Craft / NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Plastering) CSCS card is strictly mandatory.

Trade Background: Time-served experience in internal plastering, skimming, and surface preparation across commercial or residential sites.

Tools & Kit: Full professional plastering kit (trowels, hawks, floats, whisk, buckets, stilts if required) and standard 5-point PPE.

Transport: Reliable transport to reach sites across Newcastle and the surrounding Tyneside area.

Right to Work: Valid proof of right to work in the UK.
