How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

With over 20 years of success, they have built an outstanding reputation for designing and delivering innovative, high-quality products for major retailers across the UK and internationally.

As a privately owned business with an entrepreneurial culture, they combine the agility of a growing company with the scale and expertise to work with globally recognised brands. Continued investment in people, technology and digital transformation makes this an exciting time to join a collaborative business where your ideas are valued, innovation is encouraged and you can genuinely influence the future of IT.

    The Role

Reporting to the IT Infrastructure Engineer, you'll play a key role in delivering first and second-line IT support across the business, acting as the first point of contact for technical issues while helping to maintain a secure, reliable and high-performing IT environment.
Supporting both on-premise and cloud-based technologies, you'll work across Microsoft 365, Hybrid Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), Windows Server and networking infrastructure, ensuring users receive a first-class support experience. Alongside day-to-day support, you'll also contribute to infrastructure improvements, Microsoft 365 projects, security initiatives and the rollout of new technologies.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to broaden their technical skills and gain exposure to cloud technologies, infrastructure and project work within a growing business.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Provide first and second-line technical support to users across the business, both onsite and remotely.
    • Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, Microsoft 365, networking and infrastructure issues.
    • Manage incidents and service requests through the IT Service Desk, ensuring excellent customer service and timely resolution.
    • Administer user accounts, permissions and security groups within Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD).
    • Support Microsoft 365 technologies including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint and OneDrive.
    • Configure and deploy desktops, laptops, mobile devices and associated hardware.
    • Assist with the administration and maintenance of Windows Server environments, including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP and Group Policy.
    • Support networking infrastructure including LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi and VPN connectivity.
    • Work alongside third-party suppliers and internal stakeholders to deliver IT projects and infrastructure improvements.
    • Maintain accurate technical documentation, asset registers and knowledge base articles.
    • Assist with user onboarding, IT inductions and ongoing security best practices.
    • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, helping to enhance the reliability, security and performance of the IT environment.

    About You

We're looking for someone with at least 12 months' experience in an IT Support, Service Desk or IT Technician role who enjoys solving technical problems and providing an excellent customer experience.
You'll have experience supporting Microsoft technologies and a solid understanding of desktop, infrastructure and networking fundamentals. You'll be proactive, organised and comfortable managing multiple priorities while communicating effectively with users across the business.

    You'll ideally have experience with:

    • Windows 10 and Windows 11
    • Microsoft 365 (Exchange Online, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint and OneDrive)
    • Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) and on-premise Active Directory
    • Windows Server 2016/2019/2022
    • DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP and VPN technologies
    • Desktop, laptop and mobile device support
    • User account administration and Group Policy
Desirable Experience with any of the following would be advantageous:

    • Microsoft Intune / Endpoint Manager
    • Exchange Online administration
    • Hyper-V virtualisation
    • PowerShell scripting
    • VLANs, switching and firewall technologies
    • Conditional Access and Multi-Factor Authentication
    • Cyber Essentials, ISO27001 or ITIL Service Management
Microsoft, CompTIA or ITIL certifications are welcomed but are not essential. We're more interested in someone with a positive attitude, a willingness to learn and a genuine passion for technology.
