How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    The Recipe To lead the finance support for the customer account teams, providing insight, proactive challenge & influence, in support of delivering the business’s financial targets (Volume, revenue and margin).

    Key Accountabilities and Measures
    To be responsible for the provision of insightful business cases and proposals, driving commerciality and providing financial analysis to influence decision making. For all customer specific initiatives, including JBPs, promotional investment and pricing. Monitor performance through to delivery.
    To effectively manage stakeholder relationships, working in partnership with the Customer Business Controllers and influencing relationships with the Customer Team, Commercial Strategy and CFT.
    To be responsible for leading proactive insight, support and challenge with the relevant customer team(s) to give early indication of developing opportunities and issues, in order to achieve the goals and targets set. Maintain an in-depth understanding of actual and forecast performance.
    To be responsible for leading the development of reporting and analysis tools to effectively monitor and give visibility to customer performance against volume, revenue and margin objectives.
    To ensure all relevant controls are consistently adhered to across the areas of influence and that we have clear visibility to our balance sheet position for audit and balance sheet management purposes.
    To lead, motivate, coach and develop direct reports within the commercial finance customer team.
      Essential Ingredients
    Significant post qualification experience, including commercial finance exposure at a management level, ideally gained within a FMCG environment.
    A good coach and mentor: Experience of guiding others.
    Qualifications: CIMA or other accountancy qualification. Evidence of CPD.
    Experience of operating in a SAP environment.
    Excellent commercial skills: good understanding of the UK grocery industry.
    Analytical: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an ability to interpret data clearly and concisely, clearly communicating and ensuring understanding of both finance and non-finance colleagues. Strong attention to detail.
    Excellent communication skills: influential; articulate, persuasive.
    Excellent relationship builder- Able to build relationships and influence across a broad range of non-finance and finance stakeholders. 
    Strong project management and organisation skills to manage a demanding and varied workload.
