How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job Title: Quality Engineer

    Location: Pudsey, West Yorkshire

    Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

    Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent

    About the Role:

    We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Quality Engineer to join our Quality team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced quality professional to play a key role in driving quality performance, continuous improvement, and customer satisfaction within a fast-paced manufacturing and engineering environment.

    As a Quality Engineer, you will work closely with production, engineering, and supply chain teams to ensure products and processes consistently meet customer, regulatory, and internal quality requirements. You will lead investigations into quality issues, implement corrective actions, and contribute to ongoing improvement initiatives across the business.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Monitor and improve product and process quality throughout the manufacturing lifecycle.
    Lead root cause investigations using structured problem-solving techniques such as 8D.
    Manage customer complaints and non-conformance reports through to an effective resolution.
    Conduct internal process audits to ensure compliance with company standards and quality management systems.
    Support external audits from customers, certification bodies, and regulatory authorities.
    Analyse quality performance data and identify trends and improvement opportunities.
    Maintain quality documentation, procedures, and work instructions.
    Collaborate with production teams on process improvements and new product introductions.
    Promote a culture of continuous improvement and quality excellence throughout the organisation.Skills and Experience:

    Essential:

    A Quality Engineer, Quality Specialist with experience, gained in a fast-paced manufacturing environment,
    Strong understanding of quality management systems, ideally ISO 9001.
    Experience with root cause analysis and corrective action methodologies.
    Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.Benefits:
