How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    The opportunity

    Are you an SC-cleared defence professional with experience in operational delivery, military logistics, supply chain management or equipment support?

    Our client, a leading management consultancy supporting mission-critical Defence programs, is expanding its associate network to meet current and upcoming demand within Defence Equipment & Support (DE&S).

    These assignments support complex equipment and capability programs throughout their lifecycle - from procurement and modification through to in-service support, sustainment and disposal.

    Opportunities are available across three specialist areas. You do not need experience across all three; your background will be matched to the most suitable assignment.

    Which area best matches your experience?

    Operations and delivery management

    Coordinating in-service delivery, governance, resources, budgets, performance, risks and cross-functional teams.

    Supply chain and inventory management

    Managing item data, demand and supply planning, suppliers, storage, distribution, provisioning, materiel accounting and disposal.

    Integrated Logistics Support and Through-Life Support

    Developing support solutions and ILS documentation covering reliability, maintainability, technical publications, training, transition to service and obsolescence.

    Typical responsibilities

    Depending on your specialism and assignment, you may be responsible for:

    * Coordinating activity across engineering, project management, commercial, finance, project controls, operations, supply chain, technical support, suppliers and military customers.

    * Translating operational and customer requirements into practical delivery, inventory, support or transition plans.

    * Monitoring scope, schedule, cost, resources and performance, using data to identify trends and support timely decisions.

    * Managing risks, issues, opportunities, assumptions and dependencies.

    * Maintaining effective governance, reporting and assurance in accordance with MoD policy, DE&S processes and contractual requirements.

    * Producing and maintaining plans, records, business cases, statements of work, support documentation and reports.

    * Building productive relationships with customers, suppliers and senior stakeholders.

    * Identifying opportunities to improve delivery, compliance and value for money.

    What we are looking for

    * Active SC and sole U.K National

    * Strong experience in at least one of the following:

    * Operations or delivery management

    * Military logistics

    * Supply chain or inventory management

    * Integrated Logistics Support

    * In-service or equipment support

    * Technical Through-Life Support

    * Experience gained within the Armed Forces, DE&S, a defence prime, consultancy or another complex and regulated environment.

    * The ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams and deliver through a wide range of stakeholders.

    * Experience involving governance, risk, performance, budgets, suppliers, contracts or data management.

    * Good judgement and the ability to maintain delivery when requirements or priorities change.

    * Clear written and verbal communication skills, including producing plans, reports and supporting documentation.

    * Competence using Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, Outlook and Teams.

    Desirable experience

    * Knowledge of DE&S, MoD logistics policy, CADMID, defence procurement or Front-Line Command requirements.

    * Experience using MoD Logistic Information Systems or managing item data, inventory planning or materiel accounting.

    * Experience producing ILS Plans, Through Life Management Plans, transition-to-service plans, AESPs or other support documentation.

    * Experience supporting land, maritime or other defence equipment, including modifications, testing, embodiment or in-service sustainment.

    * A relevant Level 5/6 qualification, degree or equivalent professional experience.

    * Membership of a relevant professional body, such as CILT, CIPS, APM, IET or CMI.

    Some assignments require sole UK nationality or access to information above SC classification. Any additional eligibility requirements will be explained before your CV is submitted.
