How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Planning & Consents Manager

    Deeside, North Wales

    Excellent Salary + Benefits

Red Sky Personnel are recruiting on behalf of a leading infrastructure contractor for an experienced Planning & Consents Manager to support the delivery of a nationally significant carbon capture pipeline project.

This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role on one of the UK's most important low-carbon infrastructure projects. Working within a major projects team, you will lead the management of planning, environmental consents and third-party approvals required to successfully deliver a Nationally Significant Infrastructure Project (NSIP) under the Development Consent Order (DCO) regime.

    The Role

Reporting into the Major Projects team, your responsibilities will include:

Managing planning and environmental consents throughout the project lifecycle.

Supporting the preparation, submission and management of Development Consent Orders (DCOs) and associated approvals.

Coordinating planning, environmental and technical consultants.

Ensuring compliance with planning legislation, environmental regulations and consent conditions.

Building strong relationships with local authorities, statutory consultees, landowners and key stakeholders.

Maintaining planning registers, approvals and project documentation.

Preparing reports and briefings to support project governance and senior management.

Working closely with project managers, engineers and environmental specialists to integrate planning requirements into project delivery.

Identifying planning risks, constraints and mitigation measures.

Providing planning and consenting advice across the wider project team.

    About You

To be considered, you will have:

Previous experience in a Planning & Consents, Consents Manager or Infrastructure Planning role.

Experience working on major infrastructure projects, ideally within utilities, energy, pipelines, rail or highways.

Knowledge of the UK planning system and environmental consenting processes.

Experience working on NSIPs and Development Consent Orders (DCOs) is highly desirable.

Strong stakeholder management skills with experience engaging local authorities, statutory bodies and external consultants.

    Excellent organisational and communication skills.

The ability to manage multiple workstreams within a complex project environment.

    What's on Offer

Opportunity to work on a nationally significant carbon capture infrastructure project.

Long-term, high-profile project within a growing infrastructure business.

    Competitive salary and benefits package.

    Collaborative and supportive project environment.

Career development within a leading infrastructure contractor.

If you're an experienced Planning & Consents professional looking to play a key role in delivering one of the UK's largest infrastructure projects, we'd love to hear from you. Apply today for a confidential discussion
