How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Technical Quality Specialist
    Salary: £53,500 per annum
    Hours: 40 hours per week (Shift Pattern)

    The Role

    We are seeking an experienced Technical Quality Specialist to provide technical leadership within a highly regulated manufacturing environment. You will act as the subject matter expert for specialist inspection processes, ensuring compliance with customer, industry and regulatory standards while supporting production, quality and continuous improvement activities.

    This is a hands-on role combining technical oversight, auditing, training, process development and inspection support.

    Key Responsibilities

    * Provide technical leadership and oversight of specialist inspection processes.

    * Ensure compliance with EN4179/NAS410, customer specifications and internal quality standards.

    * Review, develop and improve inspection procedures, work instructions and calibration requirements.

    * Support production teams with technical issues, non-conformance investigations and root cause analysis.

    * Conduct audits of internal systems and external suppliers, including NADCAP requirements where applicable.

    * Manage the training, qualification and certification of inspection personnel.

    * Act as the key contact for customer quality and inspection-related enquiries.

    * Identify and implement process improvements to enhance quality, efficiency and capability.

    * Carry out inspection activities, metallurgical assessments and related examinations as required.

    The ideal candidate will have:

    * EN4179/NAS410 Level III certified (essential).

    * Significant experience within aerospace, forgings, manufacturing or another highly regulated industry.

    * Strong understanding of metallurgical inspection techniques and quality systems.

    * Experience in auditing, procedure development and personnel certification.

    * Excellent problem-solving, communication and stakeholder management skills.

    * Able to work independently while providing technical leadership and mentoring.
