Pay: £92.59 - £110 per day, dependent on experience
CER Education is currently looking to recruit 1:1 support teaching assistants for primary schools in Huyton, Knowsley and the surrounding areas. This role would suit someone who is confident supporting children with additional needs in Key Stage 1 and is keen to make a positive difference to pupils' learning, confidence and day-to-day school experience.
The successful candidate will work closely with the class teacher, SENCO and wider support team to provide tailored support for pupils within a KS1 setting. You will help children access classroom learning, develop independence, engage with routines and build positive relationships across the school day.
Role Responsibilities:
Providing individual and small-group support to help children access learning and development.
Assisting with communication, social interaction, emotional regulation and classroom routines.
Encouraging pupils' confidence, independence and engagement throughout the school day.
Supporting personal care where required.
Helping with general classroom activities, resources and pupil participation.Job Requirements:
Experience supporting children with SEND, such as ASD, ADHD, speech and language needs or global developmental delay.
Previous experience within Key Stage 1 or a primary school setting is desirable.
An Enhanced DBS on the live update service, or willingness to apply for one through CER Education.
