How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Senior Accounts Payable Specialist

    Location: North Bristol
    Salary: Competitive + Benefits

    The Opportunity

    We're recruiting for an experienced Senior Accounts Payable Specialist to join a growing finance team based in North Bristol. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong end-to-end purchase ledger experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and wants to play a key role in driving an efficient AP function.

    Key Responsibilities

    Manage the end-to-end accounts payable process.
    Process high volumes of supplier invoices accurately and efficiently.
    Prepare and process weekly and monthly payment runs.
    Reconcile supplier statements and resolve supplier queries.
    Support month-end activities, including reconciliations and reporting.
    Build strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
    Ensure compliance with company policies and financial controls.
    Identify opportunities to improve processes and increase efficiency.
    Support and mentor junior members of the finance team.
    Assist with audits and ad hoc finance projects.

    About You

    Previous experience in a Senior Accounts Payable or Purchase Ledger role.
    Strong understanding of the end-to-end AP process.
    Experience working with ERP/accounting systems.
    Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
    Confident communicator with the ability to build strong working relationships.
    Able to manage workloads and meet deadlines in a busy environment.
    Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
    Experience supporting or mentoring junior colleagues would be advantageous.
