How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Customer Service Representative

    Salary: £28,000–£30,000 per annum
    Office-based

    We are recruiting an organised and professional Customer Service Representative on behalf of our client. This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy office-based team and play an important role in supporting customers and the company’s day-to-day operations.

    The successful candidate will have previous experience working within an office environment, strong IT skills and confidence using Microsoft Excel. You will be comfortable communicating with customers by telephone and email while maintaining accurate records and delivering a consistently high standard of service.

    Key Responsibilities

    * Respond to customer enquiries by telephone and email in a professional and timely manner

    * Process customer orders and maintain accurate records

    * Use internal systems and Microsoft Excel to manage data, spreadsheets and reports

    * Liaise with internal departments to resolve customer queries efficiently

    * Update and maintain customer account information

    * Ensure customers receive a positive and professional experience

    * Provide general administrative support to the wider team when required

    Skills and Experience

    * Previous experience working within an office environment is essential

    * Customer service experience is highly desirable

    * Good IT skills, including confidence using Microsoft Excel

    * Strong verbal and written communication skills

    * Excellent organisation and time-management abilities

    * High levels of accuracy and attention to detail

    * Ability to manage your own workload and work effectively as part of a team
