How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Engineering Data Engineer to join a leading aerospace organisation on an 18-month contract, supporting a major Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) transformation programme.
This role is not a traditional cloud data engineering position. Instead, you'll take ownership of migrating engineering and product data, including CAD models, engineering drawings, Bills of Materials (BOMs) and technical documentation from legacy systems into a new PLM environment.
We're particularly interested in candidates with experience in engineering, manufacturing or product data management who have worked with PLM systems such as Teamcenter, Windchill, ENOVIA or similar. Experience in aerospace, defence, automotive or other highly regulated engineering environments would be highly beneficial.
You will take ownership of a dedicated data migration work package, ensuring engineering data is accurately assessed, prepared, cleansed and successfully migrated into a modern PLM environment. Working alongside engineering, CAD and PLM teams across multiple sites, you will help ensure product information is organised, validated and fit for future use.
Alongside the migration activities, you will contribute to improving data management processes, support project reporting, document best practices and assist with user training where required.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the migration of legacy engineering and product data into a PLM system.
* Assess, extract, cleanse and validate engineering data prior to migration.
* Prepare CAD data, drawings and technical documentation for transfer.
* Work closely with engineering and PLM teams to coordinate migration activities.
* Monitor project progress, report risks and track delivery against project milestones.
* Develop and document improved data management processes and procedures.
* Support the delivery of training relating to migration tools and processes.
About You
We're looking for someone who has worked with engineering or product data rather than traditional business or cloud analytics.
You will have experience as a:
* PLM Engineer
* PLM Consultant
* Product Data Engineer
* Engineering Data Specialist
* Data Migration Engineer
* Configuration Management Engineer
* Configuration Analyst
* CAD Data Administrator
* Mechanical Engineer with PLM or engineering data experience
You'll ideally have experience working with engineering drawings, CAD data, Bills of Materials (BOMs), product structures, engineering documentation and data migration within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
Desirable Experience
* Aerospace, manufacturing or other highly regulated engineering industries.
* Digital transformation or engineering systems implementation projects.
* Knowledge of Digital Twin concepts or engineering data analytics.
What's on Offer?
* 18-month contract on a high-profile engineering transformation programme.
* Opportunity to work with advanced engineering technologies within the aerospace sector.
* Collaborative, technically focused environment.
* Exposure to international engineering and PLM teams.
* Competitive contract rate
