How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Production Operative – Automotive Manufacturing
    Location: Barton-under-Needwood, Staffordshire (DE13)
    Pay: From £12.74 per hour (depending on department and shift pattern)
    Shifts: Static Days or Rotating 2-Shift Pattern

    As demand continues to grow, we are looking for motivated and reliable Production Operatives to join their expanding team. This is an excellent opportunity to build a long-term career with genuine training and progression opportunities.
    The RoleAs a Production Operative, you'll play a key part in manufacturing high-quality automotive components, including door panels, dashboards, cockpits and centre consoles. You'll work in a modern manufacturing environment where quality, safety and teamwork are at the heart of everything.

    Following a successful on-site assessment, you'll be matched to the department that best suits your skills and experience. A dedicated Training Team will provide full support to help you succeed.

    Key Responsibilities
    Operate production machinery and equipment safely and efficiently.
    Assemble and manufacture automotive components to specification.
    Carry out quality inspections throughout the production process.
    Follow standard operating procedures and health & safety guidelines.
    Maintain a clean, organised work area in line with 5S standards.
    Report any quality, equipment or safety issues to your UET Leader.
    Work collaboratively with colleagues to meet production targets.
    Support continuous improvement initiatives across the business.What We're Looking For
    Previous experience in manufacturing or production (automotive experience is desirable but not essential).
    Confidence operating machinery and following work instructions.
    Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
    Strong communication and teamwork skills.
    Good understanding of workplace health and safety.
