How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Client:

Our client is one of the UK's fastest-growing family-run M&E contractors, delivering high-quality and sustainable building services solutions across the residential sector for over 50 years. Their Residential Division continues to secure major apartment, mixed-use and high-rise residential developments with leading developers and main contractors.

Following another successful year, achieving a turnover of over £250 million, they are continuing their growth and are looking to appoint an Electrical Construction Manager to join their expanding residential team. Despite their continued success, they have maintained the values of a family-run business, with over 80% of their work coming from repeat clients, a testament to the quality of their delivery and long-standing relationships.

    Role & Responsibilities

    * Oversee the electrical installation on residential developments from first fix through to handover.

    * Review design drawings, identify scope gaps and coordinate design clashes.

    * Produce and manage short-term programmes to ensure project milestones are achieved.

    * Manage Health & Safety on site, including RAMS and safe systems of work.

    * Prepare and review technical submissions and procurement schedules.

    * Manage RFIs with the design team and client.

    * Coordinate electrical subcontractors and ensure works are delivered to programme.

    * Liaise with the client, main contractor, consultants and other trades to ensure smooth project delivery.

    * Attend and lead progress meetings with subcontractors, professional teams and client representatives.

    The Ideal Candidate

    * Qualified electrician with a strong technical understanding of electrical building services.

    * Previous experience managing electrical packages on residential developments, including apartments, high-rise or mixed-use schemes.

    * Experience delivering electrical packages with values of £2m+.

    * Minimum of 2 years' experience in an Electrical Construction Manager or equivalent management role.

    * Strong leadership, communication and coordination skills with the ability to drive programme and quality on site.

    In Return They Offer

    * A strong pipeline of secured residential projects across London.

    * The opportunity to join a financially stable, family-run business with an excellent staff retention rate.

    * A highly competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package.

    * Genuine opportunities for career progression, with a clear pathway into Project Management and Senior Management positions.

    * A collaborative working environment where employees are recognised and promoted from within
