How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Assembly Manager
    Milton Keynes
    Permanent role

You'll be working on some really exciting and state of the art projects with my client working with F1 teams and high end motorsport companies. No shift work in this role, it's a Monday to Friday straight days working a 40 hour week with paid breaks…..

Through growth and a busy order book they are looking for someone like you to join their exciting and growing team. You'll be responsible for managing all aspects of production for the busy assembly department.

Leading training, appraisals, setting KPIs, promoting continuous improvement and scheduling work will all be key parts of this role. You will be working within an immaculate manufacturing environment, it's very much a hand assembly process which means it's clean and no heavy/noisy machinery.

Any fast paced manufacturing background would be considered for this role. You'll be leading a team of 5 skilled assembly technicians employees which means strong man management is required. It's a very target driven environment and within the motorsport sector which can be demanding at times. There is electrical and mechanical assembly in this departments so we are looking for someone with experience in both skills.

They have a specially kitted out workshop that you would be proud to show customers which is located conveniently just on the outskirts of Milton Keynes centre.

What's your typical day going to look like? Well, you'll be ensuring the wheel keeps turning with everything assembly, including running morning meetings, ensuring targets are being met, review upcoming designs with other depts, raise any concerns on current prototypes in build and assist with resolving these issues.
