How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Security Engineer (AI DevTool Start-Up)
    $200,000 - $230,000 + Equity + Benefits + 401(k)
    On-site in San Francisco, CA

Are you a security engineer with a genuine passion for proactive, offensive security, someone who hunts vulnerabilities before they become risks rather than waiting for a report to land? Do you have CTF wins and hands-on white-hat hacking experience to back that up?

This is an opportunity to join a fast-growing, profitable startup at the forefront of AI infrastructure, building the compliance and reliability layer that enterprise customers like Adobe, Netflix, and NASA depend on in production. They're profitable, with 8-figure ARR, and you'd be joining them with seed-level equity ahead of a Series A raise.

Backed by top-tier investors, the team has built the world's most widely used LLM Gateway, a unified platform that gives developers secure, scalable access to every major LLM provider. Now, they're looking for a Security Engineer to proactively protect the platform at both the application and CI/CD levels.

You'll own LiteLLM's security posture across application and supply chain domains, with a mandate to maintain zero critical or high vulnerabilities and neutralize attack vectors before they become problems, working across offensive security, CI/CD, and secure release processes.

If you're looking for a role where deep security ownership directly shapes how an open-source product used by enterprises around the world stays secure, whilst benefiting from strong equity in an already profitable company before they raise their Series A, this is an outstanding opportunity.

    The Role

Own application-level security and maintain zero critical or high vulnerabilities
Proactively identify, assess, and remediate attack vectors across the platform
Actively hunt vulnerabilities and ensure robust defenses
Oversee CI/CD security with zero supply chain incidents
Embed security throughout development and deployment cross-functionally
Continuously adapt security practices to emerging threats
    The Person

Experience at a startup (Seed to Series D), comfortable wearing multiple hats
Strong background in security engineering and hands-on offensive or white-hat hacking
Demonstrated experience with application and CI/CD security
Security-related projects on resume, GitHub, or similar
Evidence of winning past CTFsRise Technical Recruitment Ltd acts an employment agency for permanent roles and an employment business for temporary roles.
