Teaching Assistant - The Role
As a Teaching Assistant, you will support teachers in delivering engaging lessons while providing targeted support to individuals and small groups of pupils. You will help create a safe, positive, and stimulating learning environment where children feel confident to participate and succeed.
Your responsibilities will include assisting with classroom management, supporting pupils with additional learning needs, preparing learning materials, monitoring pupil progress, and encouraging positive behaviour throughout the school day. You will work collaboratively with teachers, SEN staff, and parents to ensure all pupils receive the support they need.
The successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills, a caring and positive approach, and a genuine passion for supporting children's education. Previous experience working within a primary school is desirable, and a willingness to contribute to the wider school community is essential.
