How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Year 1 SEN Teaching Assistant A friendly and inclusive primary school in Lambeth is looking to appoint a dedicated Year 1 SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team from September 2026.
    This rewarding role involves supporting a pupil within a Year 1 class, helping them access learning, develop confidence, and thrive both academically and socially. The school is seeking an individual who is patient, caring, and passionate about making a meaningful difference in a child's educational journey.
    The Role As a Year 1 SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to provide tailored support for a pupil with additional learning needs. You will help create a positive and engaging learning environment that enables the pupil to reach their full potential.
    Key Responsibilities
    Provide dedicated 1:1 support for a pupil in Year 1 with special educational needs.
    Adapt learning activities to meet the pupil's individual needs.
    Support the development of communication, social, and emotional skills.
    Encourage positive behaviour and engagement in lessons.
    Work collaboratively with teachers, SEN staff, and parents to support pupil progress.
    Assist with the implementation of individual support plans and targeted interventions.
    Promote independence and confidence throughout the school day.Requirements
    Previous experience working with children in a school, nursery, care, or support setting.
    An understanding of, or interest in, supporting children with special educational needs.
    Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
    A patient, nurturing, and resilient approach.
    Ability to work effectively as part of a supportive team.
