How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    SEN Teaching Assistant - Primary School A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Ilford is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team from September 2026.
    This is an excellent opportunity for a compassionate individual who is passionate about supporting children with additional needs and helping them achieve their full potential in a nurturing learning environment.
    The Role As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with pupils who require additional support, both inside and outside the classroom. You will help deliver tailored interventions, encourage engagement in learning, and support the social and emotional development of pupils with special educational needs.
    Responsibilities
    Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEN.
    Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons and activities.
    Support pupils with Autism (ASC), ADHD, speech and language needs, and other additional learning requirements.
    Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing.
    Help implement individual education plans (IEPs) and tailored support strategies.
    Build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.
    Encourage independence, confidence, and participation in classroom activities.Requirements
    Previous experience working with children in a school, childcare, youth work, or support setting.
    A genuine passion for supporting children with special educational needs.
    Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    Patient, caring, and adaptable approach.
    Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
