How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    This Management Accountant role in Brighton is all about keeping the numbers in check and helping the business make smart financial decisions. You'll be handling the day-to-day financial reporting and analysis to ensure everything runs smoothly in the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) industry.

    Prepare and review monthly management accounts to provide accurate financial insights.
    Analyse financial data to support decision-making and identify cost-saving opportunities.
    Manage budgets and forecasts, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
    Support the preparation of year-end accounts and liaise with auditors as required.
    Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to track business performance.
    Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies.
    Assist with the development and implementation of financial processes and controls.
    Collaborate with other departments to provide financial guidance and support.Profile

    A successful Management Accountant should have:

    A recognised accounting qualification or part-qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, ACA).
    Experience in financial reporting and analysis, ideally within the manufacturing/distribution industry.
    Strong attention to detail and excellent numerical skills.
    Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
    Good communication skills to explain financial information to non-financial colleagues.
