How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Your new company
    A well-established and growing professional services organisation is seeking an experienced HR Manager to join its Operations team. As the business continues to expand, this newly created role will play a key part in supporting managers and employees across the full employee life cycle, ensuring a positive employee experience and consistent HR practices across the organisation.This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded HR professional who enjoys a hands-on generalist role and wants to influence employee engagement, wellbeing and retention initiatives within a collaborative business environment.
    Your new role
    Reporting to the Operations Director and working closely with the Head of People, you will act as the first point of contact for day-to-day HR matters, providing practical and professional support to employees and managers.Key responsibilities will include:

    Managing employee relations matters, including absence, performance, conduct, wellbeing and flexible working requests.
    Supporting the full employee life cycle, from onboarding and probation management through to offboarding and exit processes.
    Providing guidance on HR policies, procedures and employment legislation.
    Maintaining accurate and confidential employee records, HR systems and documentation.
    Supporting recruitment activity, interview coordination and new starter administration.
    Producing HR reports and people-related management information.
    Monitoring absence trends and supporting return-to-work processes.
    Contributing to HR projects, employee engagement initiatives and wellbeing programmes.
    Reviewing and implementing improvements to employee benefits, reward and recognition initiatives to support employee retention.What you'll need to succeed

    CIPD Level 7 qualified.
    Previous experience in a generalist HR Manager or Senior HR Advisor role.
    Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
    Experience managing employee relations cases and providing HR advice to managers.
    Proven experience across onboarding, offboarding, performance management, absence management and policy development.
    Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
    Experience using HR systems, Microsoft 365 and SharePoint.
    A professional, approachable and confidential approach to handling sensitive matters.
    Experience within a professional services, legal, financial services, accountancy or similar office-based environment would be advantageous.What you'll get in return
