How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Are you an experienced Contracts Manager looking to take the next step in your career with a growing specialist construction business?

    Our client is seeking an organised, commercially minded and proactive Contracts Manager to oversee the successful delivery of multiple projects across the region. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established organisation with an outstanding reputation for quality, safety and customer service, offering long-term career progression within a supportive and collaborative team.

    The successful candidate will be responsible for managing contracts from initial enquiry through to completion, building strong client relationships, coordinating operational teams and ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget.

    This position would suit an experienced Contracts Manager or Project Manager from a construction or specialist contracting background who enjoys managing multiple projects while maintaining exceptional standards of quality and compliance.

    What You'll Be Doing

    āœ” Managing contracts from quotation through to successful project completion

    āœ” Visiting client sites to assess works and prepare accurate quotations

    āœ” Building and maintaining strong relationships with new and existing clients

    āœ” Planning and scheduling labour, subcontractors and project resources

    āœ” Producing detailed project programmes, Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS)

    āœ” Ensuring full compliance with Health & Safety legislation and company procedures

    āœ” Monitoring project progress, budgets and commercial performance

    āœ” Carrying out regular site inspections and Health & Safety audits

    āœ” Supporting and developing operational teams to deliver high-quality workmanship

    āœ” Managing project documentation and ensuring accurate contract records are maintained

    āœ” Working closely with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure projects are delivered efficiently and professionally

    What We're Looking For

    šŸ’” Previous experience as a Contracts Manager, Project Manager or similar within the construction industry

    šŸ’” Strong project management experience delivering multiple contracts simultaneously

    šŸ’” Excellent commercial awareness with the ability to manage budgets and maximise profitability

    šŸ’” Strong leadership and people management skills

    šŸ’” Excellent organisational and planning abilities

    šŸ’” Confident communicator with the ability to build lasting client relationships

    šŸ’” Good understanding of Health & Safety legislation and site compliance

    šŸ’” Experience within specialist contracting or highly regulated environments would be advantageous but is not essential
