How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Senior/Principal Nuclear Safety Case Consultant to join a leading engineering consultancy supporting some of the UK's most important nuclear programmes. Working within a highly regulated environment, you'll play a key role in the development and delivery of complex nuclear safety cases, providing technical expertise across major engineering projects.

This position would suit a Safety Case Consultant with experience in the nuclear power or wider nuclear industry who enjoys solving complex technical challenges. It will appeal to someone who is confident authoring and reviewing safety cases, engaging with clients and delivering high-quality technical solutions within multidisciplinary project teams.

    Key Responsibilities
    * Develop, author and review nuclear safety cases, engineering change documentation and technical reports for major nuclear projects
    * Provide specialist technical advice to resolve complex nuclear safety and engineering challenges
    * Support the successful delivery of projects by managing technical work packages, programme requirements and client expectations
    * Build and maintain strong relationships with clients while providing pragmatic, proportionate safety solutions
    * Support project planning, resource management and cost estimation to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget

In return you'll receive a contract rate of up to £87.50/hour (Umbrella), working on long-term, high-profile nuclear projects with a hybrid working pattern of three days per week in Warrington.

So if you're looking for your next contract within the nuclear sector and have a strong background in delivering nuclear safety cases, get in touch today with Mark Dorey on (url removed), or call on (phone number removed).

Applicants must have previous nuclear safety case experience, be UK Citizens and be eligible to obtain UK Security Clearance. Regular travel within the UK may also be required as part of the role
