How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    An excellent opportunity for an experienced CNC Programmer Setter Operator & Sliding Head Setter Operator to join a well-established company!

    Job Type: Full-time, Permanent.

    Salary: Competitive Salary, Negotiable Depending on Experience.

    Location: Wolverhampton, West Midlands, WV2.

    About The Role:

    An exciting opportunity has arisen for experienced machinists to join one of the UK's leading award-winning manufacturers of high-quality special fasteners.

    Due to continued growth and expansion, we currently have two positions available:

    * CNC Programmer Setter Operator

    * Sliding Head Machine Setter Operator

    Key Responsibilities:

    * Programming, setting and operating CNC or sliding head machines.

    * Producing precision-engineered components to tight tolerances.

    * Working from engineering drawings and specifications.

    * Selecting appropriate tooling and machining methods.

    * Adjusting and optimising existing programmes.

    * Creating programmes for new jobs.

    * Conducting self-inspection and quality checks throughout production runs.

    * Maintaining high standards of workmanship and quality.

    * Working effectively as part of a team while demonstrating initiative.

    * Operating different machines as required by production demands.

    Essential Requirements

    Applicants must have:

    * Previous experience in CNC programming, setting and operating, or sliding head machine setting and operation.

    * Experience using measuring equipment, including micrometers, verniers, calipers and gauges.

    * The ability to read and interpret technical engineering drawings, particularly for turned and threaded components.

    * A strong understanding of quality standards and inspection procedures.

    * Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

    Working Hours:

    Monday to Thursday: 7:00am – 4:00pm
    Friday: 7:00am – 3:45pm
