How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    An established manufacturing business based on the outskirts of Marlow, Buckinghamshire is seeking an experienced Press Brake Setter Operator to join its fabrication team.
    The successful candidate will be responsible for setting and operating press brake machinery to manufacture high-quality fabricated products for the construction industry, ensuring all work is completed safely, accurately and in line with technical drawings and quality standards.
    You will be based in their workshop near Marlow, Buckinghamshire and will need to be a driver due to location. The salary for this role is £32,000 plus a very generous bonus scheme of up to an additional £5,000. You will be working Monday to Thursday 7:30am to 4:30pm and finish at 3:30pm on a Friday.
    Main responsibilities for the Press Brake Setter Operator are:
    * Set up and operate CNC press brake machinery in line with work orders and engineering drawings.
    * Select, fit and adjust appropriate tooling for each job.
    * Interpret fabrication drawings, including bend sequences, angles and tolerances.
    * Carry out first-off and in-process quality checks using measuring equipment.
    * Complete production documentation and maintain accurate records.
    * Identify and report quality issues, scrap materials and non-conformances.
    * Follow all health and safety procedures, risk assessments and COSHH requirements.
    * Assist with general fabrication and workshop duties as required.
    Skills required for the Press Brake Setter Operator role are:
    * Minimum of 2 years’ experience operating a press brake within a fabrication or manufacturing environment.
    * Experience operating commercial fabrication machinery.
    * Ability to accurately read and interpret engineering and fabrication drawings.
    * Good understanding of bend allowances, tooling selection and material properties.
    * Knowledge of fabrication machinery, such as CNC saws, punches and press brakes.
    * Forklift licence ideally but not essential
