How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Site Manager - New Build School Project
    Location: Nottingham
    Employment Type: Full-time

    We are looking for an experienced site manager to oversee the day-to-day delivery of a new build school project based in Nottingham. This is an excellent opportunity for a site manager with a proven track record of successfully delivering construction projects.

    The successful site manager will be responsible for managing site operations, ensuring all works are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Manage the day-to-day operations of a new build school project.
    Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and site personnel.
    Monitor programme progress and maintain high-quality standards.
    Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company procedures.
    Liaise with the project team, clients, consultants, and stakeholders.
    Chair site meetings and produce progress reports.
    Lead the site team as the site manager, ensuring project objectives are achieved.Requirements:

    Proven experience as a site manager on new build construction projects (school or education projects desirable).
    SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid certification are essential.
    Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
    Excellent knowledge of construction methods and health and safety legislation.
    Ability to manage subcontractors and maintain programme deadlines.
    Enhanced DBS check is preffered due to the nature of the project.
