Food Production Operative

Location: Ringwood, Hampshire
Job Type: Ongoing Temporary (with the opportunity to become permanent after 6 months)
Salary: £12.71 per hour
Hours: 45 hours per week
Monday to Friday: 7.00am - 4.30pm
Breaks: Two unpaid 30-minute breaks per day

We are recruiting for a Production Technician to join a growing food manufacturing company producing high-quality liquid food products for the catering and foodservice industry.

This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a busy production team where you'll be involved in the manufacture, blending and packaging of food products. The role is offered on an ongoing temporary basis, with the opportunity to secure a permanent position after 6 months for the right candidate.

The Role

As a Production Technician, you will play a key role in ensuring products are manufactured safely, accurately and to the highest quality standards.

Your duties will include:

Preparing, blending and processing liquid food products in accordance with production schedules and recipes.
Operating production machinery and carrying out basic fault finding where required.
Recording production data accurately.
Carrying out Clean-in-Place (CIP) procedures on production lines and process tanks.
Packaging and preparing finished products ready for the warehouse.
Cleaning machinery and production areas to food manufacturing standards.
Maintaining excellent housekeeping and ensuring the department remains audit-ready.
Following food safety, hygiene and quality procedures at all times.
Working to production targets and departmental KPIs.
Supporting other production activities as required.
The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who has:

Previous experience within a food manufacturing or production environment.
Experience within a liquid processing environment would be advantageous.
A good understanding of food safety and hygiene procedures.
The ability to read and follow production schedules and recipes.
Good attention to detail and accurate record-keeping skills.
A proactive approach with good problem-solving ability.
Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
The ability to lift up to 25kg on a repetitive basis when required.
Own transport, due to the location.
